Chef

The business is now looking for a skilled and experienced Chef to join its kitchen leadership team. This is a full-time, ongoing role suited to someone who enjoys leading a motivated kitchen team and working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate the kitchen team to achieve high-quality results.
• Assist with the recruitment and training of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Oversee and take part in daily meal preparation.
• Manage kitchen stock, ordering, consumables, cost control and budgeting.
• Work with management to create, test and introduce new menu items and special dishes.
• Maintain strong compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the management team to support smooth kitchen operations.

• You have strong attention to flavour, presentation and consistent food quality.
• You can lead, encourage and organise a hardworking kitchen team.
• You work well under pressure and communicate respectfully with those around you.
• Experience in a similar cuisine style or professional kitchen environment will be highly regarded.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant post-secondary cookery qualifications, at least Diploma level or an agreed equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar professional chef role after qualification.
• Availability to work across weekdays and weekends.
• Strong ability to prioritise tasks, set goals and deliver results.
• Good understanding of food safety and HACCP requirements.
• Knowledge of cost control, time management and efficient procurement practices.
• Proven people management skills with the ability to get the best from your team.

• Attractive salary package of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation
