Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Cook with a passion for Indian cuisine? Urban Spices Balmain is seeking a reliable and creative Cook to join its kitchen team. What You’ll Be Doing:

Prepare and cook dishes according to approved recipes and quality standards
Support menu planning and the development of new dishes
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements
Prepare meals according to customers’ dietary requirements
Assist the Chef with stock ordering and inventory control
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service
Receive, inspect and store incoming stock correctly
Help deliver a positive dining experience for every customer

What We’re Looking For:

Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery, or at least three years of relevant experience in place of a formal qualification
Minimum one year of relevant experience within the restaurant industry
Strong cooking skills and knowledge of different culinary techniques
Ability to perform effectively in a busy and fast-paced kitchen
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices with the ability to apply them in the workplace
