Pure Desi Pty Ltd is seeking a capable and hands-on Retail Manager to oversee the smooth operation of its growing retail store network. The role will be based at the company’s Arndell Park flagship store in New South Wales, while also providing operational support and direction to stores located in Kellyville, Campbellfield, and Woodridge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining consistent store standards, supporting team performance, managing stock and product presentation, and ensuring customers receive a high-quality experience across all Pure Desi locations. This role suits a practical retail leader who understands fresh food operations, cultural food products, customer service, and multi-site coordination.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily retail operations across Pure Desi store locations, ensuring each store runs efficiently and maintains consistent standards in customer service, product quality, presentation, and operational performance.
• Oversee the coordination of in-store sales, online orders, special orders, catering requests, and production support to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Plan and review the product range across all locations, including Indian sweets, savoury snacks, dairy-based products, festive items, gift packs, and seasonal food offerings to meet customer demand.
• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory requirements, and ensure sufficient product availability across stores while minimising wastage and maintaining freshness standards.
• Develop and support purchasing processes, including liaising with suppliers, sourcing quality ingredients and products, reviewing costs, and assisting with pricing decisions across retail and bulk-order categories.
• Implement marketing and promotional activities for stores, including festive campaigns, local community promotions, in-store displays, social media support, and online product visibility.
• Assist customers at the Arndell Park store by providing product information, guidance on sweets and snacks, recommendations for gifting, and advice on catering or special celebration orders.
• Maintain accurate store records, including sales reports, supplier invoices, stock movements, purchase orders, daily production information, and transaction records for both physical and online sales.
• Prepare and assist with budgeting, revenue forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting for retail, online, and catering operations across the store network.
• Recruit, train, roster, supervise, and support retail staff, ensuring team members understand customer service expectations, food handling procedures, store presentation standards, and daily operational duties.
• Ensure all stores comply with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards, hygiene procedures, temperature control practices, and safe handling of fresh food and dairy products.
• Coordinate special orders and catering requirements for weddings, religious festivals, corporate functions, family events, and major cultural celebrations, ensuring timely preparation, packaging, and delivery.
• Review customer feedback, buying patterns, seasonal demand, and local community preferences to identify opportunities for new products, improved service, and better promotional planning.
• Travel to interstate store locations when required to monitor store performance, support staff, review operations, and maintain consistent business standards across the network.

Minimum Requirements

• AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or another relevant field, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
• Strong understanding of retail store operations, including stock control, purchasing, merchandising, customer service, staff supervision, and financial administration.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate retail teams across multiple locations in a fast-paced fresh food and customer-facing environment.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, workplace health and safety, and handling requirements for fresh, packaged, and perishable food products.
• Understanding of Indian sweets, South Asian snacks, festive food demand, gifting products, and cultural celebrations will be highly regarded.
• Strong organisational, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak festive trading periods.
• Willingness to travel to interstate store locations, including Campbellfield and Woodridge, as required by the business.
