Job Description

Durgamaa Pty Ltd is seeking a Chef for a position in Williams Landing. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning menus, preparing and cooking dishes, maintaining food quality, and ensuring hygiene and food safety requirements are followed.

Requirements

Certificate III, Certificate IV, and Diploma
At least 1 year of experience as a Chef in Australia

Duties

Planning menus, calculating food and labour costs, and arranging the purchase of food supplies.
Checking the quality of dishes throughout preparation, cooking and presentation.
Discussing food preparation matters with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff and service staff.
Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance on food preparation procedures.
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to menu standards.
Explaining and maintaining hygiene, food safety and cleanliness requirements.
Assisting with the selection, training and supervision of kitchen staff when required.
Freezing, storing and preserving food items in accordance with food safety standards.
