The Person
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, completing month-end duties and ensuring compliance with internal & external financial regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly reporting
• Preparation of the P&L, balance sheets & cash flow and any additional internal reporting processes
• Various financial and office administration functions
• Processing of financial data
• Bank reconciliations
• Invoicing and data entry
• Assisting other accounting areas, as needed
• Assisting the wider operations team
• Ad hoc projects

The finance team is an effective part of the group’s management structure of the business and has a "can do" culture of delivering concise and timely management information.

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:

• A high level of Excel and database skills (preferably in SAGE Intacct)
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or related area
• CA or CPA qualifications or part qualified
• Highly developed financial and accounting skills within the private sector, preferably within a multi-project management environment
• Good knowledge of budgeting & forecasting issues and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills

• Ensures accurate financial records & reporting
• Helps maintain legal & tax compliance
• Reduces chances of financial errors and penalties
• Manages budgeting, cash flow & expense control
• Supports business decisions with financial insights
• Prepares balance sheets, profit & loss, and audit reports
• Identifies cost-saving and profit-improvement areas
• Handles tax planning & filing efficiently
• Saves time for business owners to focus on growth
• Contributes to overall financial stability & accountability
