Job Description

We focus on delivering friendly customer service, maintaining a varied product range and creating a clean, organised and welcoming shopping experience. As the business expands, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee store operations and support its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily store operations to maintain efficient and profitable performance
Lead, supervise and motivate employees to provide excellent customer service
Manage staff recruitment, training, rostering and performance
Create and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and business targets
Monitor inventory, arrange stock orders and maintain accurate stock records
Ensure merchandise is presented attractively and the store meets presentation standards
Coordinate product pricing, promotions and seasonal displays
Manage budgets, monitor operating costs and prepare performance reports
Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures
Oversee security and loss-prevention processes to protect stock and store assets
Communicate with suppliers and senior management regarding inventory and business operations
Review sales trends and recommend improvements to increase store performance

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this position, you will need:

AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business, Management or a related discipline
At least one year of relevant retail management experience
Proven experience overseeing the operations of a retail store
Strong leadership, supervision and people-management capabilities
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Experience in stock control, inventory management and merchandising
Good financial management and budgeting knowledge
Ability to maintain high operating standards in a busy retail environment
Competence in Microsoft Office applications and Point of Sale (POS) systems
Strong decision-making, organisational and problem-solving skills
