Retail Manager

As the business expands, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee store operations and support its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to maintain efficient and profitable performance
• Lead, supervise and motivate employees to provide excellent customer service
• Manage staff recruitment, training, rostering and performance
• Create and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and business targets
• Monitor inventory, arrange stock orders and maintain accurate stock records
• Ensure merchandise is presented attractively and the store meets presentation standards
• Coordinate product pricing, promotions and seasonal displays
• Manage budgets, monitor operating costs and prepare performance reports
• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures
• Oversee security and loss-prevention processes to protect stock and store assets
• Communicate with suppliers and senior management regarding inventory and business operations
• Review sales trends and recommend improvements to increase store performance

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business, Management or a related discipline
• At least one year of relevant retail management experience
• Proven experience overseeing the operations of a retail store
• Strong leadership, supervision and people-management capabilities
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Experience in stock control, inventory management and merchandising
• Good financial management and budgeting knowledge
• Ability to maintain high operating standards in a busy retail environment
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Strong decision-making, organisational and problem-solving skills
