Abi-Dib Pty Ltd trading as Lazy Moe's Ballarat is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high customer service standards, controlling operational costs, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and driving operational excellence. Tasks & Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery.
- Manage and supervise front-of-house and support staff.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate restaurant employees.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently maintained.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor staffing levels and prepare employee rosters.
- Manage restaurant budgets, operational expenses, and cost-control measures.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate the ordering of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Ensure the restaurant premises are maintained to high cleanliness and operational standards.
- Prepare reports and assist management with business planning and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma of Hospitality Management, Certificate IV in Hospitality, or a related qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or in a similar hospitality leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service principles.
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management abilities.
- Experience in roster preparation, stock control, and budget management.
- Sound understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Full Australian work rights are preferred.
