Job Description

Roza Mexicano Norwood is seeking an experienced, energetic and passionate Chef to join our growing team. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a vibrant, fast-paced Mexican restaurant committed to delivering authentic flavours, high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Development: Design and create authentic Mexican dishes, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
Food Preparation: Cook and present high-quality dishes that meet Rosa Mexicano’s standards.
Quality Control: Ensure food consistency, quality, and presentation align with customer expectations.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Cost Control: Manage food costs through portion control and waste reduction, working within budget limits.
Kitchen Supervision: Oversee kitchen staff, ensure efficient operation during service and maintain hygiene standards.
Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and conduct regular kitchen inspections.
Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and adhere to restaurant protocols.
Customer Feedback: Engage with customers to gather feedback and make adjustments to dishes as needed.
Innovation: Stay updated with food trends, introducing new techniques and ishes to refresh the menu.

Skills & Experience

Prior experience as a Chef for at least 1 year experience preferably in Mexican or casual dining
Good understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards
Punctual, reliable, and able to thrive under pressure
Strong team player with good communication skills
